VIDEO: Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2011 – Lacey Russ

From Miss America's Outstanding Teen's official press release this past summer:

"Orlando, FL - August 29, 2010 - Miss Oklahoma's Outstanding Teen Lacey Russ was crowned Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2011. Lacey preformed a piano piece that was a combination of Bach's Prelude XXI and Beethoven's Sonata Pathetique and spoke of her platform P.U.R.E Excellence in order to win the hearts of the audience and judges.

Lacey is from Cordell, OK where she will be starting her senior year at Cordell High School. Ranked number one in her class she is a busy young lady. She is a cheerleader, serves on the student council, plays basketball and is a member of the honor band."

VIDEO: Brandi Schoenberg – Miss North Dakota USA 2011

In 2003, a Prime Minister said the following:

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere.

Often, it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there -- fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge -- they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaking suspicion...Love Actually is all around."

In the midst of current events where calamity and terror has stuck all across the world, it's easy to turn on the news and say that we live in a world of hatred and greed. However -- if you look for it -- you'll see that it is the act of love and kindness that brings people together to overcome adversity. As the daughter of a breast cancer survivor, Brandi Schoenberg, knows of such things.

VIDEO: Interviewing Miss America’s Outstanding Teens

So how do you interview 12 titleholders in one video? Well you send in a special team of guest correspondents to do the job 🙂

At this year's Miss America, I was invited to La Casa Hermosa's party for the Miss America's Outstanding Teen titleholders. And a party it was with crowns, banners, photographers, media, and the entire MAOTeen 2010 titleholder roster in attendance!

With so much fun/chaos happening at the same time, I let a couple of titleholders take my camera and conduct interviews of their own. Thanks to Kayla and Lexie (you may have my job soon lol) for the AWESOME interviews! Check out the video below.

Let's hear it for Miss Montana USA 2011, Brittany Wiser, as she braved the New York, New York Roller Coaster in Las Vegas with thePageantGuy.com Correspondent, Kelly George and "Yours Truly" for yet another adrenaline packed interview (the first being the interview with Miss Texas USA 2010 at the Gun Range).

VIDEO: Allyn Rose – Miss Maryland USA 2011

In one famous speech, the character Francisco D’Anconia explains:

"...Not an ocean of tears not all the guns in the world can transform those pieces of paper in your wallet into the bread you will need to survive tomorrow. Those pieces of paper, which should have been gold, are a token of honor—your claim upon the energy of the men who produce."

The excerpt above taken from Ayn Rand's masterpiece "Atlas Shrugged" symbolizes a value far greater than the monetary -- where wealth and money is simply a means of exchange of our best with the best of others.
