VIDEO: Danielle Doty – Miss Teen USA 2011

An excerpt from J.J. Smith's article:

"When Danielle Doty was considering what the most daring and adventurous thing she had ever done, the answer came rather quickly: "I climbed a mountain last summer!"   Little did she realize that when the Miss Texas Teen USA pageant came along in November of last year, there would be another mountain to climb, but it was surely a mountain that she was ready to conquer.  In other words, she would be 'in it, to win it!'"

Not only did Danielle climb the summit of that mountain at Miss Texas Teen USA, she continued to the Bahamas to represent the Lone Star state in the ultimate of teen pageants. In just her 2nd pageant in the USA system, this blonde hair beauty from Harlingen, TX captured the title of Miss Teen USA 2011.

Just a few weeks ago, Danielle came back to her home state to attend the Miss Texas Teen USA 2012 pageant and we were lucky to spend some time interviewing her. Check out the interview below and follow Danielle's year as Miss Teen USA 2011 on Twitter at @TheRealTeenUSA

At the "True Beauty ROCKS the Universe" Miss Universe 2011 Watching Party, we had the unique honor to interview the VERY FIRST Miss Universe.

Armi Kuusela, Miss Universe 1952, along with 9 other former Miss Universe titleholders were present during this unprecedented pageant event.  Sixty years later, you can see from this rare interview the class and grace of our very first Miss Universe, Armi Kuusela.

VIDEO: Miss Universe 2011 Delegate Shout Out

The Miss Universe 2011 pageant is less than 3 weeks away being held on September 12, 2011 in Sao Paulo, Brazil!

This year's marks the 60th anniversary of the Miss Universe pageant and will have a record 89 contestants competing this year.  I was surprised by a nice little shout out -- see below 🙂 -- from a few of the Miss Universe 2011 delegates attending La Casa Hermosa's Press Conference in Miami, FL.

Remember you can still VOTE for your favorite Miss Universe contestant as a semi-finalist and also be sure to check out "The Most Beautiful Gowns in the House" at La Casa Hermosa!

VIDEO: Anastasia Sidiropoulou – Miss Teen World 2011

"Anastasia Sidiropoulou was crowned 2011 Teen World in Houston, Texas On Friday August 13, 2010. Anastasia bested 24 ladies from all over the world for the bragging rights of calling herself the most beautiful teenager in the world!

Anastasia hails from Athens Greece. She is the Daughter of Dr. & Dr. Nikos Sidiropoulou. Both her parents are dentists. Anastasia is attending school in Slovakia to go to dental school. In the meantime she plans on pursuing her modeling and acting career while she is Teen World.

Anastasia is honored to be the first from Greece to capture the title of Teen World. She plans on using her title to do charity work all over the world. Anastasia plans on attending as many national pageants as her schedule permits."

I had the opportunity to interview her via Skype while she was in dental school in Yugoslavia a few months ago, but this evening you can watch her crown the new Miss Teen World 2012 TONIGHT -- Friday, August 5th at 7:00 pm -- in Houston at the Hilton Post Oak. Good luck to all of the 26 young ladies competing for the titleholder Miss Teen World 2012!
