VIDEO: Interviewing Miss America’s Outstanding Teens

So how do you interview 12 titleholders in one video? Well you send in a special team of guest correspondents to do the job 🙂

At this year's Miss America, I was invited to La Casa Hermosa's party for the Miss America's Outstanding Teen titleholders. And a party it was with crowns, banners, photographers, media, and the entire MAOTeen 2010 titleholder roster in attendance!

With so much fun/chaos happening at the same time, I let a couple of titleholders take my camera and conduct interviews of their own. Thanks to Kayla and Lexie (you may have my job soon lol) for the AWESOME interviews! Check out the video below.

VIDEO: Kamie Crawford – Miss Teen USA 2010

From Kamie's official bio on MissUniverse.com:

"Seventeen-year-old Kamie Crawford was crowned Miss Teen USA 2010 on July 24, 2010, at the beautiful Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas.  Before winning her first pageant title, Miss Maryland Teen USA, Kamie attended Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, Maryland.

She graduated in June of 2010 with an impressive 4.0 GPA. Kamie plans to attend the University of Alabama's pre-med program in the fall of 2011, and hopes to eventually become a dermatologist with her own skincare and cosmetics line.

Kamie has been dedicated to cheerleading for the past seven years. When Kamie is not cheerleading, she enjoys surfing the web, going to the movies and singing…in the shower."

Despite her busy schedule, I was fortunate enough to catch up with Miss Teen USA 2010, Kamie Crawford at the MUO office for an interview.  Kamie shared her experiences at the Miss Teen USA 2010 pageant, her first day at college, and was brave enough to sing with me online...a MUST SEE interview!

You can follow Kamie and her year as Miss Teen USA 2010 on Twitter: @TheRealTeenUSA

IMPORTANT NEWS: During our interview I was given permission to share some information about when and where Miss USA 2011 will be held.  The Miss Universe Organization will be making the Official Announcement for Miss USA 2011 the last week of February, so stay tuned to MissUniverse.com during that time for the latest updates!

VIDEO: Allie LaForce – Miss Teen USA 2005

As told by Miss Teen USA 2005, Allie LaForce, in her 2005 Pageantry Magazine interview:

"The days went by so fast for my roommate, Miss Michigan Teen USA 2005, Catherine Laurion, and me. We would hold hands each night and say the same prayer: If it be God's will, let us be the last two standing.

Amazingly we were...

The 4th runner-up was called, followed by the 3rd and 2nd runners-up, but it was not until I was left standing there in the middle of the stage with Catherine that I thought, 'Could I actually win this thing?' We couldn't let go of each other, and when they called Michigan as the 1st runner-up and me as Miss Teen USA 2005, she couldn't have been more supportive."

It was nearly 6 years ago that God's will was seemingly apparent that night in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The two roommates that held hands each night during prayer were the last two embraced in the pageant's final moments. Along with Allie's new crown came a new roommate, Miss USA 2005, Chelsea Cooley Altman...one she would develop a lifelong friendship.

I was extremely lucky to interview both Miss USA 2005, Chelsea Cooley and Miss Teen USA 2005, Allie LaForce together once again in this exclusive thePageantGuy.com interview.  Thank you again Chelsea and Allie!
