VIDEO: Ashley Mills – Miss North Carolina USA 2013

Ashley Love-Mills of Raleigh, is a 2010 graduate of North Carolina State University and received a BA in Media Communications as well as a minor in TV/Film Production. She works full time in the Southeast market as model and actress.

Being a victim of bullying herself, Ashley is most passionate about being a spokesperson for Peaceful Schools-NC, a local anti-bullying program founded by the North Carolina Psychoanalytic Foundation.

Earlier this year she conducted a series of self-esteem workshops for young girls and plans to continue to do so throughout her year of reign. (Bio courtesy of the Miss Universe Organization)

VIDEO: Kristen Girault – Miss Louisiana USA 2013

Kristen Girault is a 2009 graduate of Mount Carmel Academy. Currently, she attends the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing in New Orleans, LA, where she is involved in the Student Government Association and Student Nurses Association.

Dancing has been a large part of Kristen’s life. She began dancing at the age of 3 and was a member of her high school dance team, the Carmelettes. Kristen is currently a three-year member of the New Orleans Saintsations, the official Cheerleaders for the New Orleans Saints.

Kristen hopes to continue being an advocate for a healthy lifestyle, focusing on the importance of eating healthy and being active. When she is not studying, Kristen enjoys traveling, running, reading, cooking, and watching her two favorite sports teams, the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. VIDEO: Megan Pinckney – Miss South Carolina USA 2013

Megan Tyler Pinckney is from Charleston, South Carolina, and is currently a senior fashion-merchandising student at The University of South Carolina.

She has served as an intern to the Sherri Hill team, accompanying them at markets and New York Fashion Week, as well as serving as a member of the National Retail Federation.

She has had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy where she studied the food and fashion of the Italian culture. Megan is also a Legislative Aide for a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives. In 2011, she was a recipient of the Presidential Service award.

In her free time she enjoys travelling and immersing herself in new cultures, collecting and reading Vogue magazines, and cheering on the Gamecocks! (Bio courtesy of the Miss Universe Organization)

VIDEO: Miss USA 2013 Welcome Party

It's that time of year again...only a few weeks away from crowning the new Miss USA 2013.

If you are planning to attend the Miss USA 2013 pageant in person, there is one event that you absolutely have to attend -- the (unofficial) Miss USA 2013 Welcome Party!

Easily one of the more exciting events to attend all weekend, this free event will include contests and prizes, the chance to mix and mingle with pageantry's biggest names, and the opportunity to form new pageant friendships.

Below are more details about the event including a short video from last year's Welcome Party!

  • The glittering gala is THE kickoff of the Miss USA pageant weekend and is attended by a Who's Who of Pageantry's most recognized celebrities, title holders and up-and-coming talent.
  • Our annual "Catwalk" competition and "Cutest Cocktail Dress" award will be judged by a superstar panel consisting of former Miss USA title holders and the new Mr. USB, who will be coronated at the event.
  • A prize package worth thousands of dollars goes to the new "Catwalk Queen"! Make plans now to be a part of the glamour and excitement!
  • Friday, June 14th - Dal Toro at The Palazzo - 9:00 p.m.
    Hosts: Meredith McCannel, JJ Smith, and Jimmy Langhoff.

PHOTOS: Miss Nevada USA 2013 – Behind the Scenes

This past weekend I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Miss Nevada USA 2013 pageant in Las Vegas...and join the contestants, titleholders, sponsors, and staff as they prepared for the last Miss USA state preliminary pageant for 2013.

Again, I was treated to an "all-access backstage pass" to cover the pageant and show everyone what many don't get to see at a pageant.

It was at this very same pageant last year when it all began...and since then I've been able to keep everyone plugged in with what's going on behind-the-scenes with live photos and updates over Twitter at other pageants across the country!

But in case you missed it...

...I've included a gallery below with the photos and captions of events happening LIVE during the entire weekend including the rehearsals, contestants' night out, preliminaries, finals and of course crowning the the new Miss Nevada USA 2013 - Chelsea Caswell and Miss Nevada Teen USA 2013 - Amanda Jenkins.

Thanks again to Shanna Moakler for yet another amazing pageant weekend in Las Vegas, and to the wonderful contestants, titleholders, staff, and friends that made this visit an exciting and memorable experience!
