VIDEO: Chelsea Cooley Altman – Miss USA 2005

Just like our newest guest, I too can remember the Miss USA 2005 pageant like it was yesterday...

Michael Phelps was a judge (fresh from his breakout Olympic performance just the summer before), Shandi Finnessy's Final Walk in her gown with the plunging neckline (the day I developed my secret crush on Shandi...shhh!), and a 21 year old beauty from North Carolina, named Chelsea Cooley, capturing the coveted title of Miss USA 2005!

Chelsea is now the current President of StandOut Productions, a comprehensive pageant coaching and training program that produces leadership retreats, seminars, model searches, and individual consultations. Along with her business partner and celebrity fitness trainer, Dr. A.T. Dunn (CEO of StandOut), StandOut Productions has compiled a long list of state and national titleholders at both the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants.

Be sure to watch Chelsea's exclusive video interview and if you want to meet her in person check out the Beauty is Power Seminar in Minneapolis, next week, on January 8th and 9th!

P.S. At 3:36 of the interview...in her best "Minute to Win It" voice...is Miss Teen USA 2005, Allie LaForce. Be sure to stay tuned for her exclusive interview!

VIDEO: Lauren Carter – Miss Vermont USA 2011

In Lauren's own words:

"I have loved nature and the great outdoors all my life.  I was never a typical "girly-girl", and my Mom actually thought it was a JOKE when I gave her my application for Miss Vermont USA 2010 with her Mother's Day present.  She had always dressed me up adorably as a little girl... all ribbons, bows, sparkles, and pink.  As soon as I could, I traded in the cute little outfits for smelly horse farm clothes and hiking boots.  When she realized that I was serious about entering the pageant, she was ecstatic.  But we had a lot of work to do."

And work is exactly what she did!  Introducing the Yoga loving, champion equestrian and future super-nurse -- the current Miss Vermont USA 2011...Lauren Carter 🙂

VIDEO: Brittany Toll – Miss New Mexico USA 2011

Excerpt taken from Brittany Toll's Blog as written by H. Haveman:

"Brittany Toll is a beautiful person.  Yes, she is the reigning Miss New Mexico USA 2011 and won the similar honor in 2005 as Miss New Mexico Teen USA.  However, her beauty is not purely a result of her broad smile, white teeth, and pretty face.  Brittany works as a pre-kindergarten teacher in Gallup’s Rocky View Elementary School.  She volunteers, is a positive role model, and travels throughout the state to promote early childhood education.  Brittany’s beauty, though obvious at first glance, is exuded from deep within through her generosity, values and passions."

After chatting with Brittany, I would add to the final sentence "killer dance moves" and "love for Shark Week" 🙂

VIDEO: Page Pennock – Miss Louisiana USA 2011

The first time I talked to Page Pennock was right before one of my pageant events earlier this year.  She had just placed 1st runner-up to Miss Louisiana USA 2010 and had decided to come to Houston for my event...which I thought was pretty cool!  Page had a great attitude and a fun personality, but what I remembered the most was her desire to one day become Miss Louisiana USA.

I ran into Page again at the Dallas Market Center right before the Miss Louisiana USA 2011 pageant, and we chatted about the upcoming pageant.  I think that for anyone...placing 1st runner up can be a tough pill to swallow, however it can also be the driving force that motivates you to return and do your very best -- and it seemed like Page was more the latter.  At the end of October, Page realized her dream and was crowned Miss Louisiana USA 2011.

...which brings us to the interview.

I managed to catch up with the new Miss Louisiana USA 2011 just a few weeks ago - in Houston for the Miss Texas Teen USA 2011 pageant - and THIS time I'm able to share our conversation with you 🙂
